The ESSL organized a field trip on April 24-30, 2010, to Central and South Tunisia. 24 geoscientists from Libya and 6 from ETAP, Tunisia participated in the trip. They were introduced to the exposed Cretaceous – Tertiary Petroleum Systems of Central Tunisia and compared them with their offshore analogues. This field trip was guided by Prof. Richard Moody (Kingston University, UK.) and Prof. Habib Belayouni (Tunis University). |

NOC announced on 28/04/2010 that SONATRACH being partners in an Exploration and Sharing agreement, report initial information concerning the exploration well C1-65/02 New Field Wildcat in Ghadamis Basin . The well is located approximately 340 km South of Tripoli . The well C1-65/02, drilled in Ghadamis Basin area 65to total depth 8,494 feet , encountered hydrocarbons in Upper Memouniat with a net pay 65 feet .
